This guide covers setup, controls, cooking, cleaning, and troubleshooting for the Freshdew BW-3021D air fryer. Please read the safety instructions before use.

Important Safety Instructions

• Place the air fryer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from carpets, towels, paper, plastic, curtains, and other flammable materials.
• Leave at least 4 inches of space around the appliance. Do not block the air vent.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or in a damp environment.
• Do not leave the air fryer unattended while it is in use.
• Do not put sealed containers, glass or ceramic containers, or plastic or paper wraps inside the air fryer.
• Keep children away from the appliance unless closely supervised.
• Use oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when handling hot surfaces, the basket, or accessories.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not in use and before cleaning.
• If the power cord is damaged, stop using the appliance and contact a qualified service provider. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

Before First Use

1. Remove all packaging materials, temporary stickers, cardboard, adhesive tape, and protective film from the appliance, basket, and tray.
2. Wash the basket and tray with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, then dry all parts thoroughly.
3. Install the basket handle: align it with the holes in the basket, insert it, and rotate it 90° clockwise to lock it in place.
4. Attach the supplied anti-slip pads to the bottom of the unit and the feet of the mesh tray as shown in the printed manual.
5. Set the air fryer on a level, heat-resistant surface with at least 4 inches of open space around it. Make sure the air vent is clear.
6. To help clear any initial odor, place the empty basket in the appliance and run it at 400°F for 10–15 minutes in a well-ventilated area. Let the appliance cool before cooking food.

How to Use the Air Fryer

1. Place food on the mesh tray and slide the basket fully into the air fryer. Do not fill the basket past its MAX line; leave room for air to circulate.
2. Plug in the appliance. It will beep once, and the indicator will light red in standby mode.
3. Press the Power button to turn it on. The indicator will flash green while you choose your settings.
4. Press the Menu button to cycle through the eight presets, or select the temperature and time manually.
5. Use the Temperature/Time button to switch between temperature and cooking time. Press + or − to adjust the selected value.
6. Press the Power button to start cooking. The green indicator stays on while the appliance is running. After selecting a preset, cooking may also start automatically if no button is pressed for 10 seconds.
7. Check that the food is thoroughly cooked. When finished, allow the basket and food to cool before handling. Unplug the appliance after use.

Pause or resume: Press the Power button while cooking. A flashing green indicator means cooking is paused.

Turn off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to return to standby mode. The fan may continue running for about 15 seconds to cool the internal components.

Preset Cooking Modes

Press the Menu button to cycle through these eight modes:

• Dried Fruit
• French Fries
• Egg Tart
• Steak
• Roast Fish
• Barbecue
• Chicken Leg
• Sweet Potato

Cooking results vary with the food's size, amount, and starting temperature. Check the food and adjust the time or temperature as needed.

Delay Start

While the appliance is in standby mode, press and hold the Menu/Appointment button for 3 seconds to enter delay-start mode. Use the + and − buttons to set a start delay of 1–24 hours.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Unplug the air fryer and let it cool completely.
2. Wash the basket and mesh tray with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.
3. Wipe the interior and exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent as needed.
4. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
5. Dry every part completely before reassembly or storage.

Troubleshooting

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my new air fryer produce a slight smell or white smoke the first time I use it?

A slight smell or small amount of white smoke during the first few uses can occur as manufacturing residue heats up. Before first use, remove all packaging and stickers, wash and dry the basket and tray, then run the air fryer empty at 400°F for 10–15 minutes in a well-ventilated area. The smell should fade after one or two uses. If smoke is heavy, persists, or smells like burning plastic, turn off and unplug the appliance and contact customer support.

Is it normal for the outside of the air fryer to get hot while cooking?

Yes. The outer housing may become warm or hot during cooking, especially at high temperatures. Avoid touching hot surfaces, and use oven mitts when handling the basket. Keep at least 4 inches of space around the air fryer and make sure the air vents are not blocked.
